calamities may happen...

Calamities may happen..

> Only to make u SIN-FREE

> Only to make you realize that MIRACLES do happen !

> Only to strengthen your Eeman, your Faith in Allah subhanahu wa tala.

> Only to make you realize that there is a Creator, who Loves you,Cares for you and Wants the best for you.

Tests are not just limited to see whether one performs the rituals or not. His belief and commitments to Allah (swt), and his focus in the Hereafter will be fully and thoroughly tested with calamities and afflictions to gauge the depth of his faith in his heart.

Achieving Paradise will not be easy.
It will come only with unshakable faith and trust in Allah (swt).

Allah, may He be glorified, says:
"Ye shall certainly be tried and tested in your possessions and in your personal selves."
(3:186)

"Do men think that they will be left alone on saying “We believe” and that they will not be tested?"
(29:2)

"Be sure We shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil); but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere."
(2:155)

Ah! To how many believers these verses come out as relief and solace!

How many hearts of believers, with wild storms and waves in there, have calm down when remembering these
verses! Their souls then speak out:

“Yeah, we are tested because we are righteous believers.”

Trials are a Sign of Love By Allah.

The Prophet (p) said: "When Allah who is Great and Glorious loves people He afflicts them [with trials]."
(Tirmidhi)

Sometimes when you Forget Him,
When you become distant from Him,
When you cause harm to yourself (intentionally or unintentionally),

He says:

"O man! What has made you careless about your Lord, the Most Generous?"

(ibn kathir tafsir-meaning of this Ayah is,
"O Son of Adam! What has deceived you from your Lord, the Most Generous -- meaning the Most Great -- so that you went forth disobeying Him, and you met Him with that which was unbefitting.'')

Allah also says:
Say,

“O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.”

Qur’an [39:53]

The punishment in the Hereafter is much severe – in fact unimaginable from our worldly perspective–than
any affliction one can face in this world.

Therefore, when Allah (swt) loves someone and intends for him or her to go to Paradise, He wipes out his
sins and mistakes and rewards him highly,by putting him to afflictions in this world.

Allah Never Gives a Trial That is Too Great to Bear Human beings are created weak (4:28 ).

When a sudden calamity or distress befalls us, we easily become overwhelmed and often cry out,
“O Allah! This is too much for me to bear!”

Remember Allah is Just and He never burdens a soul beyond what it can bear ! Subhanallah !

Therefore, no matter how difficult your situation is or how severe your sufferings, you should have absolutely
no doubt in your mind,Allah has given you the ability to deal with the trial.

Every affliction that Allah tests his faithful servant with, there is always two viable outcome for him:

1.passing the test with success and thus earning
Allah’s good pleasure, or

2.failing it. "The Stronger the Faith, the Harder the Test, and the Greater the Reward."

Now the question is, Why is it that people who are faithful and righteous should have to suffer?

To get an answer, we should ask ourselves:
Is there any achievement without an effort or any fruit without labour?

"The believing man or woman continues to have affliction in person, property and children so that they may
finally meet Allah, free from sin."

(Tirmidhi)

The Prophet (p) said: "How wonderful is the case of a believer! There is good for him in everything, and this is not the case with anyone except a believer. If prosperity attends him, he expresses gratitude to Allah and that is good for him; and if adversity befalls him, he endures it patiently and that is better for him." (Muslim)

just a thought...think !

Just a thought before iftar..

Without parents,children survive.    (orphanages?)

Parents without children survive.    (old age homes?)

Us,humans without Allah lose hope,
one who loses hope, loses the will to survive.

You can survive without food and water-there are countless examples-
people of Somalia,Sudan and other poor countries.

Without faith and hope in Allah, you are dead !

You become like the barren land without rain..

Don't just exist..LIVE !

A scholar once said:

WITHOUT ALLAH,Life is NOT Worth Living..

WITH ALLAH,Life is Worth Dying for..

Allah says:
"But if any of you have done wrong and have thereafter substituted good to take the place of evil, truly, I am Oft-
Forgiving, Most Merciful."

Surah An-Naml : Ayah 11

The prophet (s) said in a Hadith:
“Every son of Adam sins, and the best of those who sin are those who repent.”

Narrated by al-Tirmidhi

All your life,you may have committed sins-lying,breaking hearts,drug addiction,astrology,drinking,listening
to music,dancing in pubs,hanging out with girlfriends/boyfriends..

But you are still alive and you have a chance !!

You have the chance to change your ways..

Allahs says:
Say: “O Ibadee (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)!
Despair not of the Mercy of Allah, verily Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft- Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Quran (Surah Az-Zumar, Verse 53)

"Allah accepts the repentance of a man so long as he is not at the point of death"
(Tirmidhi)

Change your ways before you die while driving in a drunken state..

Repent before you die while out on a date with your gf/bf and the pub catches fire..

Repent before it's too late.

Allah has given you the chance..the opportunity -GRAB IT !

Take account of yourself before Allah takes you to account..

"Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His slave than anyone of you is pleased with finding his camel
which he had lost in the desert."

(Sahih Bukhari)

The question we ought to ask ourselves is that if we know we are engaged in certain sinful behavior, why wouldn’t we then stop and ask Allah’s forgiveness?

As Allah says in the Quran:
"Will they not repent to Allah and ask His Forgiveness? For Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful."

Quran (Surah Al-Maidah, Verse 74)

 May Allah forgive our sins.Aameen

trust me

Trust me,
Allah swt is the best Listener.

When u have so many complains..

When u cant go with ur problem to anyone,

When u are depressed because no one understands u..

Trust me..the only One who will listen and respond is Allah..

You feel calm, peaceful and happy after that. Allahu Akbar!

Think about this hadith: The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said,
“Allah the Most High said,

‘I am as My servant thinks (expects) I am. I am with him when he mentions Me. If he mentions Me to himself, I mention him to Myself; and if he mentions Me in an assembly, I mention him in an assembly greater than it. If
he draws near to Me a hand’s length, I
draw near to him an arm’s length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at speed.’”
[Sahih Al-Bukhari]

Subhanallah ! The next time u feel sad or depressed remember the hadith.

My thoughts after being inspired by Sh.Yasir Qadhi:

You will not be asked about the change you brought to a nation or the global situation

but

Did you change YOURSELF?

The whole world will judge you based on Result even if its a Year or a Minute you have taken to accomplish
something,

Only Allah will judge you based on your Efforts,

Not on the material success of efforts.

Suppose you couldnt change the nation, you couldnt change the crisis of the world,You couldnt bring Peace.
You will not be asked about that because its beyond your Control.

But you will Definitely be asked about
>What you did about your talent, time, energy, your so-called influence?

>What can you do to bring change in your family, friends, neighbourhood, workplace,YOURSELF?

Work Within Your Sphere of Influence and change Will come in society.

Dont think that your light/torch/candle is not enough to light the big world.

All of us Together can bring the light that will make the world shine.

Each of us has a circle of influence,a unique role to play in the Ummah which NO ONE else can play.

I have a role to play,YOU have a role to play.

The RICH have a role to play, the POOR have a role to play.

The Talent in any field has a role to play.

Understand that ALLAH created you differently so that each of you could benefit from the other.

Our Religion,Wallahi is a SIMPLE RELIGION..PRAGMATIC..PRACTICAL..BEAUTIFUL ..

Do what you CAN to spread it to others so that they are also benefitted..

You know what ?
Even if you dont change the world, you dont see the effects of that change..

Atleast by changing yourself, you have saved yourself from Allah's Punishment and leaving the world a bit better.

Do your job and leave,
The consequence is none of your
business.

Make sure you lead a righteous life.
Make sure you live an exemplary life.

Be a role model for family, friends, relatives and the society.

Remember we are going to be witnesses over humanity..

>Worship One True God
>Be Religious.
>Spread the Word.

If they believe, you have done your job.
If they dont believe, you have still done your job.

We Muslims are the last remnants of true religiousity on Earth.

If we dont live upto that,we will not be able to deliver to humanity...

wish of a youth

O Allah,

I want to spend my youth&entire life worshipng You to the best way possible so that You are Pleased with me and also I can be under the Shade of Your Throne on the Last Day & to encourage other young people .

Ya Allah,
I'm trying to make a difference everywhere I go,in everyone I meet,to help others realize their potential..
so that when You question me I can say
 'I tried,my Rabb'..

I pray to You,O Allah, to bless me with a righteous spouse with whom I can do more for Your Deen to please You.

I pray to You,Allah that may You produce righteous servants from my parents generation who worship You
and spread Your Deen..

O Allah,I want to help humanity & remind them of Your Favors upon us all..

I want to help all Muslims&non-Muslims,to be aware of our duties to Deen&submitting to Your Will..

I thank You,Allah for all the blessings-making me a muslim by birth & among Muhammad pbuh ummah & for wonderful parents,Burooj and teachers, who have played a big role in making me proud of my identity as a
Muslimah.

May Allah bless & reward all the people who have made a difference to my life.Aameen.

Subhanallah! Alhamdulillah! Allahu Akbar!

muslim youth as role models

We all know this-our societies need role models especially the kids in our community.

I heard something in one of Nouman Ali khans khutbah and it made me think.

Young people in the society who are in high school or colleges and universities can be role models for kids.
I will give you a few examples to show how the kids emulate you and so you need to act responsible:

Girls dress up like they see their elders sisters do or they emulate the way you talk to elders and when they are corrected they say:”but aapi did that.”

Younger boys see  the older boys doing mischief and when they are caught doing the same, they say:”bhai did that too !”

You may not have siblings but there must be someone younger to you...around you-your juniors in school/college or your cousins..

So,what kind of a Role Model can you as high school/college/university student be :

*you have a good knowledge and understanding of Quran and Hadeeth-to ensure that you have the solution of Islam to all world problems.

*you excel in studies-subjects which are beneficial (remember nothing haram)

*you are fit and healthy so that you can serve the Ummah better,in sha Allah ..play sports you like..dont be lazy !!

*help out in social work...do something to bring change at whichever level possible for you-school,college,home.neighbourhood,Islamic class, classroom, friends circle !

*you excel in Dawah work-and remember the most effective dawah –your words and actions.

*you are respectful to the elders and kind to those younger than you.

*you are always striving to be the BEST,nothing less than that !

IN SHORT,THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS-DEEN AND DUNIYA ,IN SHA ALLAH !

Now do not think it is impossible.
It requires :

DETERMINATION-to change for the better and to change things for the better.

HARD WORK AND DEDICATION.

SINCERITY-SINCERE CONCERN FOR HUMANITY AND SINCERITY IN DEED-that what you are doing is for Allahs Sake.

HOPE AND FAITH-ALLAH WILL HELP YOU !

YOUTH-this is the best time to be a good PRACTISING MUSLIM,not what you thought: “a good old muslim” !

Come on...everyone  irrespective of faith tries to be good and charitable and “religious” in their old age.
Try something NEW.
Do it now.

Besides being asked by Allah about what you did about your life, you will be asked about how you spent your youth...how special is this time and how valuable !

Go out young people...and play your part..
Your family needs you..
Your society needs you..
Your country needs you..
The world needs you..

ISLAM NEEDS YOU.

Remember all great things in the past were done by the youth:
Usama ibn Zaid-you ask who is he ? he led the muslim army when he was 18 years of age.

Musab ibn Umair- Many people in Medina entered Islam with his efforts, and most learned Islam from him.

Arqam b. Abi'l-Arqam-Opening his house, which was just next to the Kaaba, for the call to Islam when he was only a youth of 17-18, shows what a very brave and self-sacrificing young man he was.

Aisha r.a- Not only a transmitter of hadith, at the same time she was a commentator on the Qur'an, an expert on canon law and a preacher. She possessed deep knowledge in the fields of Arabian history, Ansab (genealogy), poetry and medicine.

And there are so many Sahabahs who did so much in their youth..

Look at us today .!.may Allah guide us.

Act responsible.Remember you are accountable to Allah.

Do not think that after spending your youth sinning, religiousity in old age will make things better.
It will not.You will have regrets, you will suffer.

Do not wait for old age to be good , do it now...NOW IS THE TIME !

Dont give up..please !

Keep trying to be a practising MUSLIM YOUTH ,excelling in all fields that are halal and benefiiting mankind for Allahs Sake.

AND REMEMBER,

NOTHING,I REPEAT NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ALLAH

And Nothing is Impossible for one who BELIEVES IN ALLAH !
IN SHA ALLAH.

what friendship means to me

We all have friends and we all consider friends to be an important part of our lives.

Alhamdulillah,by Allah’s Mercy, friendship is acceptable to me as long as either I benefit my friends or they benefit me in a spiritual way-becoming a good human being or growing closer to Allah.

Alhamdulillah from the time I have joined Burooj and started hearing khutbahs,I have this in mind when I’m making someone my friend or breaking my friendship with someone.

It is correctly said that if your intentions are correct,Allah will Help you to accomplish things.

I reflected on this in the last few days and realized that either I distance myself from them or they distance themselves from me due to some reason or the other, when friendship is not beneficial either way. I thank Allah for that coz as humans we are weak and the credit to resist it doesn’t belong to us but to our Creator.

My belief is becoming stronger in the fact and the truth that “what matters” is our RELATIONSHIP WITH ALLAH.

Every other relationship-be it friendship or love should be made or broken on the basis that it draws us closer to Allah, our Creator otherwise what’s the point !

If there is any other basis,it will be harmful and a waste of time....

For example,if you are friends with people who you thought are serious about studies, very soon you’ll see how immoral they can get due to their “seriousness”.

Similarly,if you are friends with someone whom you think will help you improve your social status or in any other materialistic way then remember my dear brothers and sisters, that friendship is bound to end and will not really benefit you.

Don’t “attach” yourself too much to the world otherwise you’ll be left with nothing but a “broken and hating heart” and “revengeful and selfish mind.”

Seek something higher, something that drives you, motivates you to achieve something “great and good” ,not something that drives you to immorality.

Prophet Muhammad (saws) said: “The example of a good companion and a bad companion is like that of the seller of musk, and the one who blows the blacksmith’s bellows.. So as for the seller of musk then either he will grant you some, or you buy some from him, or at least you enjoy a pleasant smell from him. As for the one who blows the blacksmith’s bellows then either he will burn your clothes or you will get an offensive smell from him.”
(Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

Ibn Katheer, commenting on this verse, relates a story on the authority of Ali Ibn Abi Talib (ra) and says that any friendship for other than Allah is turned into enmity, except what was in it for Allah the Mighty and Majestic: “Two who are friends for Allah’s sake; one of them dies and is given good news that he will be granted al-Jannah, so he remembered his friend and he supplicated for him, saying: ‘O Allah, my friend used to command me to obey You and to obey Your Prophet (saws) and used to command me to do good and to forbid me from doing evil. And he told me that I will meet You. O Allah, do not let him go astray after me, until you show him what you have just shown me, until You are satisfied with him, just like You are satisfied with me.’ So he is told: ‘Had you known what is (written) for you friend, would you have laughed a lot and cried a little.’ Then his friend dies and their souls are gathered, and both are asked to express their opinions about each other. So each one of them says to his friend: ‘You were the best brother, the best companion and the best friend.’

And when one of the two disbelieving friends dies, and he is given tidings of Hellfire, he remembered his friend and he said: ‘O Allah, my friend used to order me to disobey You and disobey Your Prophet, and commanded me to do evil, and forbade me from doing good, and told me that I would not meet You. O Allah, do not guide him after me, until you show him what you have just shown me and until you are dissatisfied with him just like You are dissatisfied with me.’ Then the other disbelieving friend dies, and their souls are gathered, and both are asked to give their opinions about each other. So each one says to his friend: ‘You were the worst brother, the worst companion and the worst friend.”

How can we expect sincere advice and exhortation in regard to our beautiful DEEN from those who are displeased with our Deen or are simply indifferent? Are they going to help us achieve the purpose of our life, or will they take us away from it?

Will they desire for us Allah’s pleasure or is that Completely irrelevant to them and not their concern at all? Are they leading us to al-Jannah or to the Hellfire? These are the questions we have to ask ourselves, lest we wake up after we die.

“O you who believe! Take care of your own selves. If you follow the right guidance and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong no hurt can come to you from those who are in error. The return of you all is to Allah, then He will inform you about (all) that which you used to do.”
(Qur’an 5:105)

I ask Allah to make us of the righteous ones and give us companions that will take us away from His Wrath and lead us to His Pleasure and Paradise.AAMEEN
